Welcome along to Monday’s Movie Meme. This week it is my turn, following on from the great topic from last week chosen and hosted by Nicole at The Madlab Post, to post up a new subject involving movies and all you have to do is answer the question, post a comment in my blog or if you have your own blog, link back to my blog. I hope you enjoy it and join in. Leave your choices in the comments box below, thanks. Remember and visit other blogs =)

This week, Its all about Natural Phenomena. Rain or shine, there is always a movie about the weather or our planet that usually ends up in some kind of disaster or another. So tell us what your favourite movies are and leave your comments below.

I didn’t struggle too much with this one and was able to think of a few movies. First up is a movie that pioneered a lot of digital technology that we see in movies today, Twister. Strangely enough its a Bill Paxton movie and as we all know they can be quite tacky and, well, rubbish. This one however was a really good story and exciting to watch. Paxton is his usual self, but the film also stars Helen Hunt in the only role I have ever found her sexy in. Also starring is Cary Elwes as the “I’m better than you” guy and he does it with his usual style and smugness.

Next up is The Perfect Storm. One of the first movies I ever saw using the remarkable device called a DVD player. It all seems so long ago now, but not that long really. George Clooney is the biggest name here in a story about those mad fishermen that catch their fish in the harshest of conditions in the middle of the ocean. Also starring is Mark Wahlberg, John C Reilly and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. Its just one of those movies that makes you realise just what a colossal force the weather is and the damage that it can do. Even when up against the craziest of people, there is only going to be one winner here.

So come on then, lets have your choices and please look at other blogs to spread the fun =)
