Synopsis: A young lawyer causes himself some major problems when he is involved in a hit and run and another man is arrested for the crime.
Main Cast: Samuel L. Jackson, Dominic Cooper, Gloria Reuben, Ryan Robbins, Erin Karpluk, Dylan Taylor
The Hype: This is a movie that received a very limited cinema release and was obviously made for the DVD market.
What I Thought: This wasn’t too shabby actually. The story line was quite intriguing although what was to happen was pretty easy to work out. However, both Cooper and Jackson put in good performances, especially Jackson who plays the part of Clifton Davis, the man suspected of killing the hit and run victim. As the film goes on, we realise that there is much more going on here than initially meets the eye and you then start to think, but the way in which the story is played out was pretty well done and director Peter Howitt has Sliding Doors and Johnny English amongst his movie credits.
Conclusions: A throw away movie, but a decent story, some good acting performances, and not too long either so the predictability of the movie wasn’t a huge downside. Worth a watch if you have nothing better to do, or catch it on a late night channel somewhere.
