unitedkingdom

Well today, March 3rd 2014 marked the day in the year where I start panicking about my Eurovision Blog Series. The United Kingdom have now chosen their act who will be heading to Copenhagen this May and it is an unknown entity.

Molly Simmons-Downes has been picked by the BBC as part of their “BBC Introducing” which gives unsigned acts the chance to shine. Many singers have come through this scheme for example Florence & The Machine and Jake Bugg and they have gone on to be highly successful. Now as for the song..well take a look and see what you think.

Personally, I don’t really like this. I find the style of the song quite stop/start and it doesn’t seem to have a goal at the end of it. Who knows, maybe my dislike of the song will mean that commercially it does very well. Opinion appears to be split on social media right now. Success for the UK will only happen if it is marketed correctly and it is actually taken seriously. We shall see. Anyway, best of luck to Molly.
