Synopsis: A young couple are left with the challenge of raising two young girls who are found five years after they went missing. The nieces of Lucas have been living in the wilderness all alone, but in order for them to survive that long, how alone were they?

Main Cast: Jessica Chastain, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Megan Charpentier, Isabelle Nelisse, Daniel Kash, Jane Moffat

The Hype: Miss Chastain has been in some big movies in the last year and attaching her name to this tense horror flick can only be a positive for it. As for the actual content, well it didn’t do too badly at the box office making a big profit on a small budget.

What I Thought: I have certainly seen worse horror movies than this. The story was reasonably engaging and was enough to keep you going the 100 minutes the film lasted. This is one of those films that you can put in the “throw away movie” category. You’ll see it once and never watch it again, but as general entertainment, it’s not too bad at all. The effects were pretty well done and the performances by the two main cast members were on the whole not bad. We will probably be seeing more of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau on the big screen following the success of Game Of Thrones and indeed he has recently appeared in Oblivion which I am yet to see.

Conclusions: A good horror film that doesn’t really leave you wanting for more. It does what it says on the tin basically. Definitely a rental though, I wouldn’t bother buying it to keep on your shelf.
