Synopsis: A continuation of the story from where we left off in Paranormal Activity 3 and we encounter a new family start to experience strange things when a woman and her son move in next door.

Main Cast: Kathryn Newton, Katie Featherston, Matt Shively, Stephen Dunham, Alexondra Lee, Aiden Lovekamp, Brady Allen

The Hype: As part of a hugely successful franchise, this installment has been the least anticipated of them all. They tried to make out that all the other films have been leading up to this one. As a commercial enterprise though, it has made a lot of money, primarily because it was, like the others, so cheap to make.

What I Thought: Rubbish. **Spoiler Alert** – The are no jump moments. The camera also lingers too long on open spaces, making any potential scare far too easy to spot (of which there are none). The performances are nothing to speak of and although there are a couple of nice special effects during the course of the film that are small and you have to look for them, there is really nothing to get excited about here. I wasn’t even going to watch it in all honesty, but my wife decided to stick it on and so I ended up just watching anyway. It’s an hour and a half I won’t get back 😦 What I find more disturbing is that they plan to make another one. How much more can they get out of this story?! I guess when a film that costs $5M to make is taking ten times that back at the box office, they can make a story last as long as they bloody well like, lol

Conclusions: Not scary, thinnest plot possible, predictable, tired storyline.
