So a few things to catch up on today. Firstly I shall mention the dismay I had today whilst doing our weekly run to ASDA. There were numerous announcements over the tannoy to inform the shoppers that there would be a 2 minute silence. I was very disappointed at the amount of people that just didn’t bother to stop and pause for a measly 2 minutes to offer some respect for all those that have fallen in wars past and present. Not much to ask is it?

Moving on, Xander refound his sock puppet that Kell made for him and we decided to give him a name. “Jimmy” Dragon went to ASDA for the first time today and helped very nicely get all the shopping into the trolley. Xander seemed to enjoy having a little friend to keep him company. Lets face it, shopping must be pretty boring for young kids so it was a reasonably smooth morning.

Of course, we were a little later going today because we were watching some old videos of Xander from when he was younger and he was interested in why he was little and it was great for us to remind ourselves of what he was capable of doing just a year and a half ago. It was also a stark reminder of how fast he is growing and what he has learned to do in such a short space of time.

So at the moment I’m waiting for the Formula 1 to start, but I have a feeling its going to be a precession from start to finish with the Abu Dhabi track notoriously difficult to overtake on. Hopefully we can have some excitement at some point anyway. A few things to do after the race around the house and then yummy Bolognese for tea which Xander definitely will eat. He hasn’t eaten much in the last couple of days so this should fill him up nicely.

Right, best get to it, in the meantime, I think its only fitting on this Remembrance Sunday, a poppy tribute.
