Just over 6 weeks to go until everything kicks off for another year. We shall continue our Euro trip by travelling to Finland today first of all.
A country with a mixed past in Eurovision, and who could forget the masterful victory from Lordi and “Hard Rock Hallelujah”. Yes the weirdos in the masks… Anyway, they have moved on from that look and this year have entered a lone guy with a gee-tar.
Oh yes, this is a beauty! Paradise Oskar sings “Da Da Dam”. Hes a Finnish James Blunt banging on about some guy called Peter going off to save the planet! Somehow I don’t think this is going to qualify. Its awful. The Finns seems to like it though.
Next up today is Malta. I think they have set their stall out pretty early with the look of their performance. That in itself has been nicked from Kylie Minogue’s “Can’t Get You Out Of My Head” video. As for the song, well, its a typical Eurovision track. Not my kind of thing this. Too poppy for me.
That said however, the decent on stage presence and the rehearsed dance routine along with the obilgatory key change means that this one will probably make it through to the final on the 14th of May.
I hope you are enjoying reading these blog posts and have had a couple of positive comments so far from people. More soon folks =)
